Our Founder — Paul Pence
Paul Pence, founder of the Savant Institute, has dedicated his life to exploring the intersections of knowledge, innovation, and community. With a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a minor in Math, Paul’s curiosity has led him to study a wide range of disciplines, including computer science, sociology, history, and anthropology. He has built a multi-faceted career as a process engineer in semiconductor manufacturing, technical writer, educator, journalist, quality systems specialist, publisher, and more.
A lifelong learner and firm believer in the power of personal excellence, Paul has authored publications across multiple genres, patented innovative solutions, run for Lt. Governor in Rhode Island, and has transformed his talents as a change agent into a dynamic force for executive leadership. He credits his successes to a passion for continuous improvement and a refusal to be confined by a single discipline.
The Savant Institute reflects Paul’s belief that everyone has something valuable to contribute, whether through their expertise, their curiosity, or their drive to grow. “The most accomplished people I’ve met didn’t follow a straight path to success—they carved their own,” Paul says. “This platform is about celebrating that spirit and fostering connections among those who strive to do the same.”
